An attempt is being made to track down the rightful owner of an old footlocker.
Elaine Masters bought the chest at an auction in Tring, Hertfordshire, many years ago.
Having found it again while having a clear out prior to moving house, she is now trying to make contact with Captain J. E. Suffolk - whose name is written on it.
The word 'Gloucester' also appears on the trunk, although other writing has become illegible.
"We would love to reunite it with its owner," Elaine said.
