People whose lives have been touched by cancer can join a group and have their voices listened to by experts from the Great Western Hospital.

The Swindon Cancer Partnership Group gives cancer patients and their carers the chance to be involved in the development of the town's cancer services.

By meeting regularly, it is hoped that members of the group will be able to talk about their own experiences and work with experts to influence how care is provided in the future.

The group will meet four times a year, with attendance open to anyone who feels their experience can help make a difference to others. During the pandemic, the group will be meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams to avoid any risk of catching or spreading Covid-19, so attendees will need to have internet access.

The group has supported many projects, improving the quality of care given to cancer patients and providing important insight to the development of cancer services at GWH.
