More than 200 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Swindon
203 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Swindon.
Public Health England figures show that 7,212 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Thursday in Swindon, up from 7,009 at 9am on Wednesday.
During this period, 56,618 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the UK, taking the total up to 2,889,419.
As of January 2, the infection rate in the Swindon borough is 574.3 per 100,000 population.
Great Western Hospital recorded one new death of a patient who died after testing positivre for coronavirus.
