Dear Friends
I think, that as we are going through an unusual time, I would like to put in a few words of thanks to people.
I lost my sweetheart 7 years ago, we have no family close by and I am 92. I shop at Sainsbury's and I find the staff very cheerful and helpful; when my friends are able to come and visit me we go out for a meal and we find the staff very helpful wherever we go. On the whole, I think that most shops and restaurants are very helpful towards older people.
I live in Marling Crescent and I find that I have got a wonderful lot of friends and neighbours who are willing to help me at anytime. And also at the church, everyone is very helpful.
I think at this time, at the start of a new year, we should say thank you to all doctors, nurses, scientists, police, paramedics and also to our Prime Minister and his Members who are working so hard to make things better for us.
Happy New Year
God Bless You All
W Willcocks
