Despite the restrictions in place this year, St Lawrence Primary School in Lechlade has made sure that the children still had the opportunity to explore the true meaning of Christmas. Working within their bubbles, and after some creative thinking from everyone involved, this year’s Nativity performance were born.

With restrictions in place, Kathy Newton, who has directed the plays for over 30 years, decided to film the nativity on Pennyswick Farm in Coleshill, after Colin and Rachel Harris kindly gave the group permission.

There were no rehearsals and the children were given their script just days before filming.

Local builder Phil Stevens of BSB recorded and edited the footage. He also recorded carols sung by Geoff Holmes and the church music group to add into the film and a Christmas message from Rev. Andrew Cinnamond.
