A Malmesbury teen is helping to spread some festive cheer by decorating postboxes around the town.
Ben Thornbury, 15, has decided to brighten up the postboxes around Malmesbury to help everyone get in the move for the festive season.
He said: "I wanted to decorate the postboxes with some tinsel to brighten up the streets and also to put a big smile on people’s faces.
"In Reeds Farm, a plastic Christmas wreath along with tinsel was placed on the top of the postbox."
Once Ben had finished the decorations on the Station Yard postbox, he heard a passer by say 'wow, look at that postbox'.
"That just made it all worth it," Ben said. "It’s not everyday you see a postbox glittering with more colour than just Red and Black.
"The baubles were donated by a lovely lady called Sue and the tinsel by a man called Paul. We couldn’t have done the project without there help."
People are decorating postboxes all over the country. Royal Mail are supportive of the idea as long as people an still able to post mail and employees can still empty the post out.
