An international cookery school for disabled adults is soon to be opening in Lechlade, writes Chris Roberts.

The school is called Stedychefs Learning Centre and it provides cookery courses from Monday to Friday for young adults aged 18+ with disabilities and learning difficulties.

The students will be able to work in a professional kitchen helping to improve their life skills and self-confidence, as well as giving them the opportunity to work with some amazing individuals.

The school will be based in a venue near The Trout Inn and there will be an official open day in January.

The cookery course, which provides full support for the students, costs £70 per day and includes the cooking lesson, pick up and drop off transport, lunch, refreshments and a uniform.

Students will be collected around 8am ready for a 9.30am start at the learning centre. The day will finish and students will leave the centre between 3pm-3.30pm. For more information or for an information pack, please contact the school’s Liverpool office on 0151 936 1968.
