One of Britain's oldest butcher shops has re-opened in Cirencester following an extensive refurbishment.
Jesse Smith & WJ Castle Butchers and Delicatessen is a family run business with shops in Cirencester, Tetbury, Burford and Northleach.
Their oldest shop, at 14 Blackjack Street in Cirencester which first opened in 1808 has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment which features a state-of-the-art dry aged showcase chiller.
The shop will specialise in local free-range turkeys and geese from Wiltshire, 32 Day salt aged beef from Nailsworth and the Scottish Highlands, Dry cured free-range gammons from Chippenham, English farmhouse cheeses as well as homemade pies and glazed hams.
