A 20-year-old Cirencester man who assaulted another man in Lechlade has been conditionally discharged for a year and ordered to pay his victim £100 compensation.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Friday, November 27, Robert Simpkins of Victoria Road, Cirencester, denied assaulting James Davis by beating on August 11 this year but was convicted.
As well as the conditional discharge and the order to pay Mr Davis £100 compensation the magistrates also ordered him to pay a £15 surcharge.
