A DUDLEY man who had indecent images of children has been put on the sex offenders’ register.

Mark Anthony Bentley, aged 41, of Maple Tree Lane, was convicted of possessing 8 indecent images, one of them a Class A, which is the most obscene category.

Magistrates imposed strict conditions on his internet access, put him on a community order, ordered him to carry out 80 hours voluntary work, pay £280 in costs, and be placed on the sex register for 5 years.

Two Apple I phones were confiscated.

A Brierley Hill man with a ‘flagrant disregard for the courts, people and their property’ has been jailed for a total of 26 weeks.

Nasar Ahmed Hart, aged 28, of Pheasant Street, admitted assault and stealing £158 worth of good for Aldi.

Hart was already on a suspended prison sentence in respect of nine other cases, including assault and theft.

Magistrates said the assault was a deliberate attack on a public servant carrying out her duties and Hart had a flagrant disregard of court orders.

He was ordered to pay £100 compensation.

Richard James Linacre, aged 44, of Lawnswood Road, Stourbridge, has been ordered by magistrates not to distress his neighbours by playing very loud music. He admitted a breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £100 for 12 months.

A Rowley Regis woman has been banned for 15 months after admitting drink driving.

Chelsey Jayne Stretch, age 21, of Wylde Crescent, had 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when tested at Salop Street. The limit is 35.

She was fined £320 and ordered to pay £169 in costs.

A Cradley Heath man who admitted harassing a woman has been given a suspended jail sentence.

Brett Phillips, aged 35, of Chaucer House, Severn Road, damaged the woman’s garden gate, kicked her doors, shouted abuse at her and sent her unwanted texts.

He was given an eight-eight-week prison sentence, suspended for a 18 months, put on a 7pm to 7am curfew, and placed under a restraining order not to contact the woman in any way. He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation.

A Dudley man has been given a community order and told to carry out 80 hours voluntary work in a domestic abuse case.

Ray Singh Rai, aged 54, of Harley Grange, Dixon Green Road, admitted assaulting Narinder Kaur Rai. He was ordered to pay £99.99 compensation.

Adam James Warr, aged 26, of Borough Crescent, Stourbridge, admitted damaging a TV at a Premier Inn in Milton Keynes and was ordered to pay £200 compensation.

A Stourbridge drink-driver has been banned for three and a half years and put on an electronically tagged curfew.

Adrian Christopher Marks, aged 60, of Stone House Barn, Egg Lane, Yieldingtree, Broome, drove his Range Rover in West Bromwich when over the limit. He had 96 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitre of breath, the limit being 35.

He was banned for forty months, put on an 8pm to 5am curfew for six weeks and ordered to pay £230 in costs. He pleaded guilty.

A Dudley man was caught driving a car with a smashed windscreen, no indicator or windscreen wiper controls, and a missing rear registration plate.

Latif Ur Rehman, aged 61, of Bank Street admitted driving a car that was a danger to the public. He was fined £450, and must pay £85 costs.
