A Christmas float procession will take place in Stonehouse this weekend as a replacement for the cancelled Goodwill Evening.
Earlier this year Stonehouse Town Council announced the cancellation of the annual Goodwill Fest, that marks the start of the town's Christmas celebrations, due to concerns over social distancing.
Instead a float manned by Father Christmas and their elves will tour the town, with those onboard singing Christmas carols.
The float will start at The Green at 4.30pm on Saturday and make its way around the town.
Residents are encouraged to wave from their doorsteps or front gardens but are asked not to approach the float or gather in groups.
A map of the route is available via the Stonehouse Goodwill Fest Facebook page.
The town's Christmas lights will also be turned on over the weekend although there will be no official switch-on ceremony.
