With 2020 drawing to a close, all eyes are on 2021 and what it might hold.
There's a lot of uncertainty at the moment with the coronavirus pandemic far from over but there's one thing that is for sure - bank holidays.
On the government's dedicated website, it has confirmed there will be eight bank holidays next year.
And there’s the prospect of a long break over Christmas. With Christmas Day and Boxing Day falling over the weekend, bank holidays are listed for December 27 and 28.
Friday, January 1 - New Year’s Day
Friday, April 2 - Good Friday
Monday, April 5 - Easter Monday
Monday, May 3 - Early May bank holiday
Monday, May 31 - Spring bank holiday
Monday, August 30 - Summer bank holiday
Monday, December 27 - Christmas Day substitute
Tuesday, December 28 - Boxing Day substitute
