Job centres in Swindon are on the hunt for new work mentors to help more people find employment.

As part of a scheme from the department of work and pensions, 400 new 'work coach' roles have opened up at job centres across the country.

North Swindon MP and department minister Justin Tomlinson said: “Work Coaches deliver exceptional personalised support to millions of customers every day.

"They have a critical role in driving forward this country’s economic recovery, and 4,500 people have already stepped up to join us in helping get Britain back on track.

“But we still have more to do, so if you are looking for a new opportunity, and a rewarding new challenge here in Swindon, I would encourage you to apply and help your local community bounce back from this pandemic.”

A work coach will aim to help people improve their CVs as well as interview and job search skills.
