Cirencester residents were left without water after a pipe burst this morning.
The incident occurred near Abbey Way traffic lights at 5:30am, flooding the road and leaving some houses with little or no water pressure.
No properties were flooded, and a Thames Water maintenance crew was at the site in half an hour and completed a temporary fix by 10:30am.
“We’re sorry to everyone, it’s a huge inconvenience on a Saturday morning to have no water,” said a spokesperson for Thames Water.
“People should now be in supply and if they’re not already they should soon be.”
He said pressure can take longer to build back up for those properties on higher ground.
Repair services remain on site to perform a permanent fix, and an investigation into the cause of the burst is ongoing.
