A playful puppy from Spain is looking for a new family.

One-year-old Buddy, who was rescued by SNDogs earlier this year, is currently being fostered by Frances Plescia.

He suffers from leishmaniasis which requires some medication, but Frances said: “His leish is well controlled with his diet, he eats well, plays well and walks well. He just wants someone to love him.

“He’s a playful puppy who could live on his own but equally could do with a doggy friend.

“He loves to cuddle up on the sofa and keep your feet warm, he’ll wrap himself around your feet.

Frances likes him so much she did consider adopting him herself but decided he needed to be with a family that would be home more. “I wish I had enough time to keep him but it’s not feasible.

“My husband works in Oxford and I work as a community nurse so it would take a lot of time that neither of us has.

When it comes to his new home, Frances believes Buddy would be a great pet for a family and small children shouldn’t be a problem for him.

Anyone interested in giving Buddy a home should visit sndogs.uk/adopt-a-dog and fill out the application form.

A home check will then be carried out, taking between 30 minutes and a couple of hours, before a decision is made.

After the family has been accepted the foster carer will make contact and arrange a time to meet so members can get to know him before he moves in.

SNDogs runs a foster organisation based in Pinehurst, where homeless and rescued dogs are looked after in a network of volunteer homes.
