POLICE rescued an injured owl last night, after finding it lying in the road while they were on patrol in the Cotswolds.
They came across the tawny owl, which appeared injured and unable to move, on the B4035 at Chipping Campden.
They took the bird to the Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre in Beckford.
Officers tweeted: "We found this beautiful #tawnyowl on the B4035 at Chipping Campden during the night whilst on patrol in the #Cotswolds. Appeared injured & unable to move so we took him/her to the very kind & helpful people at the @wildliferescuer at #Beckford #ollietheowl #thankyou"
