Four students from Chipping Campden School have helped raise several hundreds of pounds for Campden Home Nursing and the school’s new Performing Arts Campaign by designing Christmas cards which have sold like hotcakes.

The four winning designs were chosen from over 120 students who entered a Christmas Card Design competition, a joint fundraising project launched by the school and the charity.

The artwork was judged by Trustee of Campden Home Nursing, Elizabeth Milnes-James, local performer and writer, Keyna Doran and Sara Chandler, retired vice principal, and teacher at the school.

Helen Makaritis, general manager of Campden Home Nursing said: “The winning card designs were stunning and have been really popular.

"Thank you to Vale Press who sponsored the cost of printing the cards, which means the proceeds will be split between the school and the charity.

"Thank you also to everyone who entered, and well done the winners!”

Niki Crew, art teacher at the school, said: “We were overwhelmed by how many students entered the competition.

"They showcased so much imagination and creativity. We’re very proud of the standard of the entries.”

There are a few packs of cards remaining for sale in packs of eight (two designs of each card) for £4 on the Campden Home Nursing website at: www.campdenhomenursing.org/for-sale/.
