Cirencester fell silent at 11am on Wednesday as they marked Armistice Day at the town's war memorial.
Nigel Robbins, chair of Cotswold District Council laid a wreath at Cirencester War Memorial as part of a short remembrance service to honour the fallen.
Cotswold District Council leader Joe Harris said: "Remembrance has been very different this year because of the pandemic, while it was a shame that the traditional act of remembrance on Sunday wasn't able to go ahead I'm pleased that we were able to have a small commemoration on Armistice Day.
"I'm hoping that next year we'll be back in the Market Place and able to gather as a community to pay our respects."
