Can we have some joined up thinking please? The Government is considering changing the method by which new housing allocations are calculated.
But this could force Stroud District Council (SDC) to accept additional new houses, which could be disastrous for our countryside.
Can I urge your readers please to take part in SDC’s current consultation on the Local Plan with their views, and oppose the Government’s proposed calculation change.
Another related disjointed policy is that with proposed increased development in the area, Gloucestershire County Council is likely to reject proposals to reopen Stonehouse Bristol Road railway station which will allow Stroud and Stonehouse residents much easier rail access to Bristol and the South West.
Thank you.
