Down Ampney news with Melanie Fouracre

PUPILS at Down Ampney’s Primary School will be sad to see their head teacher, Adam Clark leave the school at the end of December.

Mr Clark paid tribute to the hard work of the pupils, staff, parents and carers, governors and the wider community, which has culminated in the recognition the school has received in improved Ofsted and SIAMS inspection reports, which both now judge the school as GOOD.

TO help lighten the dark December days, Down Ampney School PTA and the Parochial Parish Council (PCC) invite all villagers to join in a festive display competition.

Decorate a window, the front of your house or your front garden to spread a bit of festive cheer!

The prize is a fantastic festive hamper.

There is an entry fee of £5 with all proceeds to be split between Down Ampney PTA and the PCC.

Please email pta@downampney.org as soon as possible for an entry form.

VILLAGERS will also have received two books of Christmas Raffle tickets in the November edition of the Down Ampney News.

1st prize is £100, 2nd prize is £50, plus a variety of Christmas Hampers.

All ticket stubs and monies to be returned to the village shop by December 11 please.
