Residents have less than a week to give their views on Highways England's updated designs for the 'A417 Missing Link'.

The consultation on the designs end on Thursday and members of the public are urged to give their feedback before the deadline.

The planned upgrade of the A417, a key route linking the South West and Midlands, will see a single lane stretch of carriageway between the Brockworth bypass and Cowley roundabout in Gloucestershire, upgraded to dual carriageway, considerably benefitting road users, local communities and businesses.

Michael Goddard, Senior Project Manager for the A417 Missing Link scheme, said: "Consultation is ongoing and the feedback we receive from everyone is really important in helping us to develop our proposed option.

"We are delighted with the response so far with around 250 people responding online or by post.

"The consultation is still live and we would urge anyone who would like to comment on the update proposals to do so before 12 November."

Feedback from the supplementary statutory consultation, which started on Tuesday, October 13, will help Highways England develop its application for a Development Consent Order to be submitted early next year.
