As Tetbury like the rest of the country faces lockdown once again our vulnerable are at risk, writes Kevin Painter.

So at a meeting of the town council Heritage and Regeneration Committee on Monday, the first steps of reintroducing the plans and the help assistance that was in place for the first lockdown were put forward.

Once again, Cllr Martin Lea volunteered to coordinate this new measure, which the council were grateful as he did such a fantastic job last time.

It’s also good to have continuity and reassurance that many people were comforted by during the last lockdown.

Obviously there will be measures put in place for assistance so if you can help by volunteering, keeping an eye on friends and neighbours or even nominating people who may need assistance, then please ring Martin on 07873 345540 or email martinlea@tetbury.gov.uk.

It was also decided that the council office will remain staffed and working although it will not open to the public.

So rest assured if you need assistance or know someone who needs assistance, the town council will be the local first port of call.

And you can contact them on 01666 504670 or email reception@tetbury.gov.uk.
