Vintage car restoration firm completes major new merger

Cotswold Classic Car Restorations Limited has just acquired South Cerney Engineering.

This merger of the two businesses means that CCCR is now one of the few UK businesses that can offer a full end-to-end restoration process for classic vehicles on-site.

Owner Jonathan Wills said: “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for both companies to join forces and move forward.

"It really was the missing piece of the jigsaw for us in being able to provide a full in-house restoration service .

"We are delighted to now be able to enjoy the benefits of the 60 years or so of engineering experience that SCE’s pedigree brings.

"We would like to reassure the existing customers of South Cerney Engineering that all its services are still available.

"There are plans to invest further in people and equipment as we bring together and develop the services offered by both companies”.

The services that can now be offered include bodywork, body fabrication, engineering builds, full interior trim and electrical work.

This means that customers only have to deal with one organisation when restoring their motor and their car will not have to leave the companies sites during restoration.

All of SCE’s current staff have transferred with the business sale including Jeff Hester, who has been with the company for 47 years.

Cotswold Classic Car Restorations is a long-established company based in Down Ampney in Gloucestershire.

The business boasts a strong pedigree of high-quality restorations working on all marques from Aston Martin, Jaguar, Armstrong Siddeley, Lancia, to modern Fords, as well as American, Japanese and German vehicles

They undertake all types of work, which ranges from full restorations to repairs and servicing of all available makes of classic vehicle.
