Robert Kendrick has been jailed for five years and three months after stabbing his boyfriend four times at a flat in Stroud.
Kendrick, 35, of Badminton Road, Matson, Gloucester, admitted wounding the man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on March 25 this year.
He was also subjected to an indefinite restraining order not to contact the victim.

Michael Stephen Smith has been jailed for three years and nine months after admitting raping a woman following a party.
Michael Stephen Smith, 25, of High Street, Bitton, attempted to have sex with the victim while she was asleep following a party in 2017.
The victim woke up and made it clear she didn’t want to have sex, but Smith went on to rape her.
He was so concerned the victim would report him to the police, he called first to claim she was harassing him by making false allegations that he’d sexually assaulted her.

Gary Low has been handed a prison sentence after he assaulted two police officers near Pilning.
Low 33, of Romney Avenue, Lockleaze, will serve a 12-week sentence after pleading guilty to several offences at Bristol magistrates' court on October 16.

A 22-year-old man whose offences ended with him putting a ligature around the neck of an elderly woman in her own home near Stroud, has been jailed for four years.
Jack Calladine, of no fixed address, who had been taking the hallucinogenic drug LSD, admitted a catalogue of offences of burglary, taking vehicles, and robbery at a hearing at Gloucester Crown Court on October 28.

Lloyd Nicholas, 48, of Smiths Field, Chesterton, Cirencester has been jailed for three years and four months.
He had previously pleading guilty to being concerned with the supply of cocaine and cannabis.

Prolific shoplifter Benjamin Savory has been jailed for 24 weeks.
Savory, 26, of Melmore Gardens, Cirencester, was also issued with a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order after regularly stealing from shops in the town.

Chilah Mathew, 26, of no fixed address, has been jailed for five and a half years after he 'cuckooed' the flat of a vulnerable drug user on Matthews Way in Stroud, and traded in heroin and crack cocaine from the property.
Isobel Jones, 41, of Bowbridge Road, Stroud, was jailed for two years after she admitted supplying cocaine and heroin.
