Unfortunately there’s been no official statement from Tetbury Town Council over the recently convened EGM ‘to discuss and approve the legal advice received regarding the allocation of S106 monies for the redevelopment project being undertaken by the Dolphins recreation centre,’ writes Kevin Painter.

Here is the public statement from the DRC that was published after the meeting: “We’re delighted that following the Tetbury Town Council EGM held on October 23, a motion was passed to forward one of the S106 agreements, amounting to £124,800, to the Dolphins Recreation Centre to allow the development of the Community, Youth and Sports Complex to start as soon as the tender process is complete.

“At the meeting councillors were sadly unable to resolve the money awarded to us under the other two S106 agreements, but positively they have agreed to seek further legal advice to hopefully enable this to happen too in upcoming weeks.

“It has been a long process, but this really is a positive step in the right direction.”

And I’m sure the whole town will agree with the sentiments and this positive news.
