A 40-year-old Whitminster woman who drove with almost two and a half times the legal alcohol level on her breath has been banned from the roads for 19 months.
Alison Wilks of School Field Close, Whitminster, was also ordered to pay £440 in fines, costs and surcharges by Cheltenham Magistrates at a hearing on October 12.
Wilks pleaded guilty to driving a Hyundai i10 in Shepherds Mead, Tetbury, on March 7 this year with 87 microgrammes of alcohol on her breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.
The magistrates fined her £323 and ordered her to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £32.
She was told that if she takes a Government approved driving course at her own expense by October 18 next year her ban will be reduced by 144 days.
