TWO men have been arrested after a pet shop and petrol station were burgled in the space of an hour last night.

The pair, a 20-year-old and 25-year-old from Ringwood, have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Officer says that the spree started yesterday evening, when The Village Pet Shop on Ringwood Road in Bransgore was broken into at around 10.52pm. A small amount of money was stolen, alongside charity collection tins.

The Fordingbridge service station was also broken into at 11.40pm and the tills stolen.

They add that the suspects fled from both scenes in a green Mercedes, which was linked to a further burglary in the early hours of this morning in Dorset, but were later detained by officers.

Both men remain in custody while police enquiries continue.
