A cat has died a day after being found on a doorstep with deliberate slash wounds.

The incident is believed to have happened on September 29 after the cat was let out by its owners on Mill Lane, Corston near Malmesbury.

Police are appealing for information.

Police have seized cannabis worth over £100,000 after raiding a cannabis farm in the Cotswolds.

Over 140 cannabis plants were found in Upper Rissington following a tip off from a local resident.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supply of a class B drug and remains in police custody.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving following a fatal collision on the M4.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was taken to Southmead Hospital with life-threatening injuries but has since been discharged.

The incident occurred shortly after 1.30am last Thursday between junctions 17 and 18.
