Police say they are likely to remain at a property in Cirencester for several days while an investigation takes place after two people were arrested earlier today.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire police said: “Officers are at an address in Cirencester in relation to an ongoing investigation and are likely to remain there for a number of days while searches take place.

“Two people have been arrested in connection with the investigation and currently remain in custody.

“We cannot give any further information at this time as doing so could lead to the identification of those who have been arrested but we can confirm there is no threat to the wider public.”
