A 46-YEAR-OLD man who drove whilst under the influence of alcohol in Malmesbury has been banned from driving.
Nigel Thompson, of Groves Street, Swindon, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared before Swindon Magistrates Court on September 5.
Magistrates heard how Thompson drove on the A429 Crudwell Road when he was under the influence of alcohol on April 4.
Thompson was found to have 45 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £516.
