Your article last week "Phone mast blunder" (2 September 2020) about siting a mast in the Painswick Valley, deeply concerned me.
More so that the District Council didn't respond to Vodafone within 56 days.
They wrote to them a day late and one wonders why the District were not efficient in those circumstances?
For it has serious implications for the people living in Pincott lane and the wider area, due to the unnecessary increase of radiation on the community and the land.
The people and their elected Council should have full control of where masts can be placed and not the private companies.
You may wonder why I have written this letter, it has to do with asking the question in order to investigate whether there is any conspiracy and/or collusion between public organisations and private companies. For, as far as I know, research has been undertaken and has found that 68 other Councils didn't lodge their letters within the 56 days required - isn't this an extraordinary coincidence?
