The second Gloucestershire Asian Food Market was held in Cirencester earlier this month.
Malaysian, Persian Chinese, Thailand, Indian, Sri Lankan, Filipinos and Borneo food on offer from August 15-16.
There were over 20 stalls, with traders coming from London, Birmingham and Plymouth to introduce their cuisines to Gloucestershire.
The event, organised by Global UK Asia together with Cirencester Town Council, was considered a success with estimated footfall of over 10,000.
Initiated by Josephine Laurence, she stated that the event was an opportunity for the people of Gloucestershire, especially Cirencester, to try some new ethnic cuisines they may not be familiar with.
Josephine is a graduate from the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) in Cirencester with a degree in International Business Management. In early 2019, she joined the RAU Enterprise program to help her create and develop her business ideas.
Originally from Malaysia, Josephine realised Asian culture was not as accessible in Gloucestershire as it is in cities such as London.
She said: "Participating in cultural events is a good exposure for people to broaden their perspectives and gain more knowledge of the world which result in the acceptance and tolerance of other culture.”
Global UK Asia is hoping to organise similar events in the future.
