Lockdown
I AM in my seventies and have spent lockdown alone. These are some of my thoughts over the months.
1. Lying in the sun, birds flying to the feeder, one flies so close its wing beat moves the air like a gentle kiss on my cheek.
2The builders cannot see me in my garden sitting in my nicks.
The sight would make them slip from the scaffolding. They sing, scream, swear and shout. I love the ballad of the builders !
3. The insects in the garden swarm onto the forgetmenots as if it’s the start of the sales ! They dance, pirouette, dive and hover. Totally mesmerising.
4. Isolate, gloves, masks. I love masks to go shopping. They hide my wrinkles. If I want to make myself giggle I don’t put my teeth in. !
