Will Cook quite deservingly has been named a Tetbury Unsung Hero, writes Kevin Painter
Will raised £26,000 through fundraising, donations and grant applications.
The money raised has provided the town with a wonderful new play area as well as a three year maintenance plan.
The new amazing play area by the Tetbury Good Shed Art Centre should be open from Saturday, even though the official opening ceremony with the mayor is planned for 11am on August 21.
It was felt that the children and families should be able to use this facility to enjoy the summer.
So please go down and enjoy this fantastic area.
The unsung hero initiative is the town council’s way of saying thank you to people who inspire and make the town a better place.
This gives people an opportunity to just say thank you.
If anyone would like to nominate another unsung hero, please contact Tetbury Town Council administrator Natalia Phillips by ringing 01666 504670 or you can email Natalia at reception@tetbury.gov.uk.
