A MAN is thought to have suffered neck injuries caused by a knife after an incident at a house in Middlesbrough.

Police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened at an address in Cotswold Avenue at about 7am today.

Officers say a 26-year-old suffered injuries to his neck, believed to have been caused by a knife. 

The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital and was later released following treatment.

The suspect is believed to have made off from the scene into the local estate.

Police inquiries are ongoing.
