Gardiner Haskins has announced its to extend its opening hours at its Cirencester store.

For the first time since the store re-opened in June, the store is now extending its opening hours further to meet increased customer demand.

The increased hours will take effect from today.

The independent home and DIY store will open at 9am on weekdays (instead of 10am) as more customers want to get started on their DIY projects early.

Management believe this will help avoid queues in the morning by giving customers more time to visit.

Since opening, the store has observed an increase in demand for DIY and decorating products with customers wanting to get in early so they can get started on their projects at home.

However, there’s been a surge in sales across all departments including gardening, appliances, furniture and beds.

Retail director, Steve Whitcombe says: “The support from local people since we opened has been overwhelmingly positive and we’re incredibly grateful for that.

"It makes us proud to be an independent business and we hope to see more customers choosing to shop local and support our wonderful and vibrant Cirencester high street.

“Extending our opening hours is a great sign of things to come for the store and the high street as a whole.”

The store will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm and closed Wednesday and Sunday.
