WOTTON in Bloom volunteers are appealing for the return of one of their hanging baskets which was stolen last night.
In a post on Facebook, the team said: "One of our hanging baskets is missing.
"Did you wake up this morning with a big hanging basket in your garden/shed/garage?
"Does it look like the one in the picture?
"Were you out in Wotton last night with your mates?
"Just put it back please, or leave it where it can be easily found, then we won't have to waste time with a police report.
"Please look as you go around Wotton today. Especially in Potters Pond/Marchese Walk/Synwell Lane."
Wotton in Bloom installed 157 baskets in June, which brought a joyful splash of colour to the town as lockdown restrictions were eased and some businesses prepared to reopen.
