I found Extinction Rebellion’s recent installation on the Subscription Rooms forecourt very moving: hundreds of empty children’s shoes laid out in rows with a banner reading: “We want to live”.
Our Stroud MP and our Prime Minister both have new babies, for whom, one assumes, they have high hopes for a bright future. How can these hopes be consistent with the government’s recently-announced road-building plan when we only have nine years or so to sort out the climate change crisis?
