THE Planning in Principle application for houses adjacent to village hall has been approved - by the Cotswold District Council planning officer, despite some 20 objections and without the application going to the planning committee to the surprise of many of the objectors.
Concerns seem to centre around the effect on the adjacent tennis courts, childrens play area and village hall, as well as overlooking of the adjacent houses which are at a lower level.
A SHORT commemoration to mark the 75th Anniversary of VJ day will be held at the War Memorial on Pancake Hill on Saturday, August 15, at 11am.
A short service will be led by Rev Stephen Goundrey-Smith.
All are welcome to attend.
