The therapists and practitioners of a local mental health and wellness centre are delighted to be able to welcome their clients and patients back again.

The Old Rectory Clinic in Iron Acton closed in March to comply with coronavirus guidelines but the therapists continued to support their clients with one to one consultations online.

The clinic offers a range of physical treatments including chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy. They also have a team of counsellors, hypnotherapists and psychologists available for clients.

Caroline Huish, owner, said: “It was such a horrible shock when we knew that we had to close our doors.

"There was a lot of sadness and confusion initially about how we were going to be able to continue to support our clients who were in the middle of essential treatment.

"As a clinic which focuses on people’s mental health and wellbeing, we were unsure how we could maintain the essential support that we offer the population of South Glos.”

“I was so proud of the way all of our therapists rallied and came up with such innovative ways of still maintaining support of our clients.

"All of our therapists are guided by regulatory bodies and they have been fantastic in their support and guidance of what we can do and how we can do it.

"Everyone managed to move successfully online and continued working with their clients via zoom/skype or even just the telephone to maintain that help and support.

“We used the lockdown period productively by spending time on working on the clinic building and extensive grounds, so that when we were able to reopen again, the clinic was all ready to safely welcome back our therapists and clients.

"We are so looking forward to welcoming our clients and patients again to support their mental health, physical health and wellbeing."
