Detectives investigating the possible attempted abduction of a child say they have exhausted all lines of enquiry.
But officers involved in the probe following the incident in a children’s play area in Royal Wootton Bassett last month urged anyone with information who had not already spoken to police to call 101.
The force was called on Sunday, July 26, after a woman, 20s, said a man had approached her two-year-old daughter in the park near Cloatley Crescent and Churn Way at around 11.30am and allegedly tried to leave the play area with her.
The woman grabbed her daughter and the man walked away.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said: “Detectives have conducted extensive enquiries in relation to this incident. This included maximising all forensic opportunities, which unfortunately did not provide any further identifiable line of enquiry. We have kept the victim regularly updated.
“While there are currently no outstanding lines of enquiry, we would continue to urge any members of the public who may have information which they have not already reported to police, to do so by calling 101 and we will investigate.”
