Residents across Oswestry, Gobowen, Weston Rhyn and Hengoed are being given the chance to purchase stylish masks and raise money for charity.
The masks have been designed and made by Hengoed resident Mary Evans alongside her friends Jenny Seabourne and Hollie Hindley.
The trio have been busy in the last few weeks making masks from recycled and surplus donated material in aid of two church charities and more recently all monies have been gone to the Severn Hospice.
Mary said: “The elastic has been sponsored and the top shop on the crossroads at the top of Weston Rhyn have kindly sold the masks without putting on any extra cost.
“The masks, which in three sizes, are three layers and are very comfortable and if worn correctly.
“They don’t steam up your glasses, while there are some smaller children’s masks, which are in two layers and are more of a fashion accessory!
“I would like to give two others should a mention as both Millie Patterson and Barbara Leonard have helped in the stringing and packing and hot steam pressing so masks can be seen but not touched.
“They only cost £3 each.”
Anyone wishing to purchase a mask can head to the shop in Weston Rhyn or can be picked up from near Hengoed by appointment with marydaywell@hotmail.co.uk
