POLICE are warning drivers in Cirencester and the rest of the Cotswolds that they face a £1,000 fine if they flash their headlight lights to warn others about speed cameras.
Cotswolds Police tweeted the warning this afternoon saying: "Our Speed Camera Enforcement Team have been out in the North Cotswolds today in Bourton-on-the-Hill.
"We noticed the flashing of lights warning drivers, this an offence and can land you with a £1,000 fine!! #SafeAndSocialDriving #SlowDown #ThirtyThinkThirdGear."

Officers also carried out speed checks today outside Rendcomb Colledge on the A435 Colesbourne road near Cirencester and outside the Bathurst Arms at North Cerney on the same road.
They were pleased to report that all drivers were under the speed limit.
