A 54-YEAR-OLD man who was caught over the drink-drive limit and without insurance near Tetbury has been banned from the roads for 17 months.
Anthony Burston, of Alderton Road, Chippenham, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol and driving without insurance when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on July 17.
Magistrates heard how police stopped Burston in his Ford Fiesta on Bowldown Road, Tetbury, on June 12.
Burston was found to have 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
He was also found to be driving without insurance.
Burston was banned from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £419.
