A ROPE supply business is fundraising for a group producing scrubs for NHS and health staff in the county.

The Cheltenham and Cirencester Scrubbers Facebook group have been making clothing for nurses and doctors working during the pandemic.

And now the Manchester-based supply company Buy Rope has decided to help the group’s efforts.

As well as donating 2kgs of cord to the Cheltenham and Cirencester Scrubbers, over the months of July and August, Buy Rope will also be raising funds for the group to help them make more uniforms and masks for NHS Staff.

£1 will be donated to their cause for each time a customer leaves Buy Rope a review, or £5 if the review includes an image.

A spokesman for Buy Rope said: “A member of the Cheltenham and Cirencester Scrubbers group was looking to buy some cord for face coverings and scrub wash bags.

“After learning about their initiative, we decided to contribute to their cause by donating the cord.

“The group started this project to supply scrub sets, face coverings and other helpful items for the NHS staff for free.

“They have already made hundreds of scrub sets (tops and trousers) and other small items.

“The demand for these is rising each day, and the group is doing their best to fulfill it.”
