Sir, people travel many miles to wonder at the view of the Vale from Coaley Peak and then, like ancient pilgrims, they leave their tributes in the shape of burger boxes, beer bottles, plastic detritus and used sacramental barbeque trays.all of great interest to the next generation of social anthropologists. However, these offerings to the Godess Sabrina get brushed up by some po-faced litter campaigner, and the magic spell is broken. Is nothing sacred?
