Down Ampney news by Melanie Fouracre

ALL being well church services will return to All Saints’ Church on Sunday, August 2, at 10am.

In advance of this services will be held on July 19 at 10am in Ampney Crucis and July 26 at 10am in Poulton.

Services will be simple and reflective in nature to follow Covid-19 guidance from the Government and the Church of England.

FOR those who are shielding or are over 70, ‘Worship at Home’ on line is still offered at https://worship-at-home.weebly.com.

In addition Parishioners can request a visit from Rev’d Canon John Swanton 01285 851309.

DOWN Ampney Art and Craft Circle continue to support the village by not meeting in the village hall until it is safe to do so.

Weather permitting the Circle have been arranging small, socially distanced groups around the village out in the open.

Anyone wishing to share pictures of their work or take part in an open air group, please contact: DAACCGL7@gmail.com.

YOUNG children may now make use of the play area at the Village Hub.

Strict guidelines relating to hand washing, use of sanitisers and cleaning of equipment are posted on the gates.

Children and Parents are asked to make sure the play area does not become so over crowded that social distancing becomes impossible and to consider returning at a later time if this is the case.

THE Village Shop Committee would like to thank the army of ‘furloughed’ volunteers who have been helping keep the shop running.

These volunteers are now beginning to return to work, which means more volunteers are needed.

If you are interested in finding out more about the varied jobs on offer at the village shop, please contact Tony Peel simpleel@btinternet.com or Peter Baillie - davs2016@hotmail.com.

Please note that the shop is entirely run by volunteers.
