Kempsford/Whelford news by Margaret Wolfenden

CHURCH services will begin at St Mary’s Kempsford this Sunday, starting at 9.30am led by Robert Mitchell, our Lay Reader.

There will be a sidesperson to guide and explain the new necessary procedures.

At the moment we will be unable to gather for coffee afterwards.

ON Sunday, July 19, there will be a village picnic at 3pm in the grounds of St Mary’s Church Kempsford.

This is to formally welcome the Reverend Kim Brown to our villages.

This picnic is open to everyone from Kempsford, Whelford, Dunfield and Dudgrove.

Please come with your own food, drinks and picnic tables, etc. and enjoy being together, though with social distancing.

There will then be a Family Service at 4pm.

COTSWOLD Canal Trust has restarted its work on restoring the Thames and Severn Canal after the Covid-19 lockdown.
