Kemble/Somerford Keynes/ Poole Keynes news by Pat Ayres

RESIDENTS can join the next Kemble and Ewen parish council meeting due to take place tomorrow, Friday, at 7.30pm by obtaining details of the video link from the parish clerk - kpcclerk@kemble.co.uk.

Copies of the agendas and minutes are on the website for the information of residents.

THE Kemble village hall committee are discussing the way forward and seeing how the measures which have to be adopted will work.

Putting all the needs into place will take some time but hirers can rest assured that hopefully the hall will be open for business when everything is in place.

THERE is still some disruption with road closure/works in Limes Road, Kemble and in a week or so the road will be closed from Kemble to Kemble Wick when brickwork repairs to the railway bridge structure has to be done.

Diversion signs will be in place but pedestrian and emergency access to premises on or next to the road will be maintained.

The expected dates for this closure will be from July 18 until August 9 or until the works have been completed.

ALL Saints Church is open on Wednesday from 10am until 12noon for Quiet Prayer.

Please follow where indicated the notices of guidance.

The Parochial Church Council is taking the necessary steps and having discussions on the opening for Sunday services as I write and will advise parishioners accordingly.

THE village fete committee has come to the agreement that it will be best to shelf making a new date for this event for this year.

The committee will pick up the threads early 2021 and fix a date then.
