Siddington news by Alison Wagstaff
SIDDINGTON Village Hall is currently closed for bookings but has been allowed to open to accommodate the playgroup.
The trustees will continue to monitor the restrictions and are working on a reopening plan to minimise any potential risks for users and to ensure that social distancing and safety guidelines are followed.
UNFORTUNATELY, over the last couple of months the village hall has been used as an area to leave unwanted household items, and in one instance a live chicken was left in a box.
It is not known how long it had been left on the hall doorstep, as the hall is currently only opened on an ad hoc basis.
This is clearly an animal welfare issue and leaving unwanted household items outside the hall is fly-tipping.
As a result the trustees are considering the installation of CCTV and will take any necessary action to prosecute offenders.
